Andrew Shimanoff
1989 - Present
Andrew Shimanoff began his woodworking career while studying classical guitar at a conservatory in France during the 1970's. The combination of classical guitar with traditional woodworking led eventually to the creation of organic shaped woodworking in the 1990's. Having little response for the then current paradigm of geometric furniture, Andrew Shimanoff Designs waited an eternity, 30 years or so, to begin again his venture into the new era of freeform expression, now becoming the leading edge of modern wood furniture designs.
